Rebecca Adlington has taken to Twitter to put rumours to bed that she and fellow swimmer Tom Haffield are anything more than friends.

Rebecca has been posting pics of her and the handsome chappy on their hols on Instagram and some ill-informed news sites have suggested that there is something going on between the two of them.
But Rebecca has had enough of the speculation and decided to let people know what’s what between her and her handsome Olympic swimmer pal.
Rebecca, who split from her husband Harry Needs last year, told her 493,000 followers that she was amused by the press coverage her holiday had received.
“Got to laugh at the newspapers today… on holiday with my best mate!” she wrote.
“Hardly cosying up or an intimate holiday #dontbelievewhatyouread.”
And when one cheeky follower dared suggest a pic of the two of them looked like a “steamy selfie”, she responded with a series of laughing emojis: “Or it’s just a selfie?”
When another said that people of the opposite sex could just be friends, Rebecca wholeheartedly agreed.
“Exactly! 15 years being best mates!” she laughed.
Tom also found the suggestions of romance hilarious as he put out his own Tweet.
Rebecca and Tom have been living it up Mexico this past week.
In one picture Rebecca stunned fans by posing topless, while lying on a lilo.
Rebecca, who has daughter with her ex, has also shared a number of sweet selfies that obviously sparked the ridiculous rumours they were more than bezzas.

The pair even had a treat by sitting in the cockpit of the airplane that took them to Mexico.
