One of Coronation Street’s fan-favourite couples are in for a reunion of sorts.
Newly single after being devastated by the news Susie isn’t his, Peter Barlow is going to grow closer to his ex-wife Carla Connor.
The outgoing landlord of the Rovers Return will soon put the pub on the market after splitting with Toyah Battersby.
But instead of keeping his cash windfall from the sale, a new report claims he is going to help Carla by funding Underworld.
Carla and the other Connors are currently embroiled in a battle for the knicker factory after she signed over her majority share of the business to Aidan Connor after he saved her life by donating a kidney.

He later took his own life after a secret battle with depression.
When Aidan owned just 18 per cent of the business he wrote a will leaving his share to business partner Alya Nazir.
However because of Carla’s generosity he actually left her the full business, something that hit Carla hard.
Viewers have watched as Alya changed the locks on the factory during Aidan’s funeral and took full control of the business.
But as Carla vowed to fight Alya in court for her legacy, according to the Daily Star Sunday things won’t go her way.
And Peter will step in to offer his help.
A source told the newspaper: “The Connors are still grieving for Aidan and are in a desperate situation where the business is concerned.
“Carla is at her wits end when Peter comes up with a solution.
“He knows he can end the knicker factory war and is more than happy to help.”

The plan could pave the way for a romantic reunion for the former couple.
But with Ben Price’s Nick Tilsley returning later this year, could this spark another love triangle on the cobbles?
