Piers Morgan reveals his whereabouts to GMB viewers disappointed he’s STILL absent

Many are missing him

| Updated:

Half-term may be over but Piers Morgan’s holiday from Good Morning Britain continues – and many viewers aren’t happy about it.

Susanna Reid revealed last night on Twitter that “TV legend” Richard Madeley would be co-hosting with her again as she resumed her role following a week off for the school holidays.

Piers’ fans responded to her tweet to ask where he was and when he would be back.

She then retweeted a message Piers had sent to one of them confirming he would not be on the show today as he was “in Missouri interviewing serial killers” for one of his ITV documentaries.

He then cheekily tweeted Susanna to tell her “not to miss me too much”, bragging that it was still the afternoon in Missouri as she lamented her early start.

He then told another fan “absence makes the heart grow fonder” when they complained about his absence.

There were then more tweets demanding his return when viewers tuning into the show this morning were disappointed to see he was still absent.

At the time the show started, Piers was winging his way back to the UK as he tweeted a picture of his plane taking off from L.A. hours earlier.

But if his fans thinks that means he will be back tomorrow then they’re in for another disappointment, as Richard tweeted to say he would be standing in for Piers for “another week”.

Not everyone is unhappy about it though, as some viewers have said they prefer Richard’s interview style to Piers’ and enjoy having the former This Morning presenter on the show.

Piers surprised viewers with his sudden absence from the show on the 18th of October and later took to Twitter to tell people he was in the USA as he was inundated with messages asking where he was.

He’s expecting to be back on screens next Monday after nearly three weeks off.
