Peter Andre has played down reports of a shock reunion with his ex-wife Katie Price at last month’s National Television Awards.
The couple, who split in 2009, made headlines in January when it was reported they’d bumped into each other at the glitzy ceremony.
It was alleged they’d shared a hug, much to the apparent astonishment of onlookers, who were well aware of the couple’s history.
But in a new interview with OK! magazine, Pete said he found the interest in their so-called ‘reunion’ bizarre, given he and Katie speak regularly about their two children.

According to The Sun, he said: “I didn’t see what the big deal was. I see her and Kieran [Hayler] whenever we’re discussing the kids, which is actually quite regularly. It was no big thing.”
Peter and Katie share son Junior, 12, and daughter Princess, ten.
Since their split, he has remarried, to doctor Emily MacDonagh, and they have children Amelia, four, and Theo, one.
Katie, meanwhile, wed husband Kieran Hayler, the father of her son Jett, four, and daughter Bunny, three. She’s also mum to son Harvey, 15, from a previous relationship with Dwight Yorke.
Pete added to OK! that when he bumped into Katie at the event, they said hello before going their separate ways.
“She came in, we gave each other a peck on the cheek… It was so quick!”
So, there we have it!
Although Katie and Peter’s very public split was initially rather bitter, they’ve embraced a more amicable relationship over time.
In a 2016 column for New! magazine, Peter revealed how Katie and Kieran had brought the kids to watch him perform in concert.
“This is progress and I’m really happy that she and Kieran came along and the whole family was there,” he said at the time.
“It was great for the kids to see us getting on and just goes to show we’re moving forward.”
But while Peter and Emily are stronger than ever, the same can’t be said for Katie and Kieran.
Their relationship made headlines last summer when Katie accused Kieran of bedding their children’s nanny, just a few years after she took him back after he cheated with her best friend.
The current state of their relationship is unclear, as Katie has not said exactly what is going on.

However, in an interview with Reveal magazine before Christmas, she said Kieran was still living in the family home and she does love him.
“I think about leaving him, throwing him out, but then I think, at the end of the day, he’s a good dad, we’re a good team and he wouldn’t want a life with the other person.”
