Laura Simpson – the woman at the heart of Wayne Rooney’s recent drink driving scandal – has taken yet another dig at his wife, Coleen.
Laura claimed she and the footballer had enjoyed a “kiss and a cuddle” after a night out, before Wayne was pulled over by police for driving her car while under the influence.
And it caused fresh heartache for his long-suffering wife Coleen, which has only just started to simmer down.
However, Laura’s clearly not one to let sleeping dogs lie, as a social media post today proved.
She took to Twitter to reveal her office Secret Santa gift, posting an image captioned: “What a great Secret Santa present” accompanied by several cry-laughing emojis.
And the image itself? A large book titled: “Footballer’s Wive$: How to be a Footballer’s Wife”, a clear reference to her history with the Rooneys.

She was also gifted a set of booze-filled Christmas tree baubles, and a herbal hangover cure – presumably to use after consuming the baubles.
Her followers were keen to praise the wannabe WAG for the joke, with one writing: “Oooh the banter…”
Another replied: “You make me howl, I love how you respond to the hate you get on here.”
Laura found herself front-page news after cosying up with England footballer Wayne after a boozy night out earlier in the year.
Wayne’s career – and marriage – were in danger after he was stopped by police after drink driving.
On September 18, Wayne pleaded guilty of the offence at Stockport Magistrates Court.
He was banned from driving for two years and ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid community work.

No doubt he’d like nothing more than to forget the whole affair and put it all behind him.
