The former EastEnders actor turned documentary maker couldn’t look happier as he proudly posed with Ava and Kitty while holding a baby carrier in each hand.

Looking as if he couldn’t smile any harder – and putting his biceps to the test! – the ex soap hard man was the picture of contentment as he prepared to take his little girls home for the first time.
Aww!
Ross, 53, added the simple caption: “Homeward bound. Very big thanks to all at John Radcliffe.”
Plenty of friends and fans replied to wish Ross and wife Renee luck with their gorgeous little bundles.
Others praised the couple for posting an actual picture of their children, rather than the oh-so-celebrity thing of focusing on a hand or a foot.
One wrote: “Supaproud daddy and why not! Now the hard work begins tough guy lol! Best of luck to you all and congratulations to you all again x.”
Another said: “So good to actually see the babies instead of just a toe or the like, Ross…… Big congratulations to you and your wife.. Great picture..X.”
A third told him: “Congratulations Ross. I’ve got a set of those too, they’re 16 now. You’ll have years of fun, flipping hard work but friends for each other.”
And a fourth added: “Best wishes Ross. Another incredible adventure ahead of you with those two. The very best of health and happiness to you all!!”
The smitten TV star has shared a handful of snaps since announcing the twins’ births on September 28.
Ross announced the girls’ arrival last week, with a selfie taken in the delivery suite alongside his wife’s doctor.
Grinning from ear to ear, the former actor – who played Grant Mitchell in EastEnders – wrote: “BIG THANKS to Lawrence Impey and his team.
“Very happy Dad again!”
He is also a proud dad to two other children – one son from his previous relationship with Nicola Coleman and another little boy with wife Renee.
Ross married Australian lawyer Renee back in 2012 but they’ve always kept their romance away from the cameras.
They chose not to publicly announce their first pregnancy and instead surprised fans in April 2015 by revealing Renee had safely delivered a baby boy.
Ross shared the news via social media, posting a photo of him cradling his new bundle of joy.
His caption read: “What a day! Mum and baby doing well, Dad very proud! 6lbs 7oz, born at 10:54am. Happy boy, asleep already!”

Renee is Ross’ second wife; he was previously married to ex News of the World editor Rebekah Brooks, before divorcing in 2009.
After leaving EastEnders, Ross made a name for himself as a hard-hitting documentary maker.
His series, Extreme World, sees him travel to several places around the globe to investigate extreme criminal activity and the often dark and seedy underworld.
Congrats to Ross and Renee!
