Roxanne Pallet has revealed the surprising celebrity “saviour” who helped her survive the public backlash following her controversial Celebrity Big Brother appearance.
The former soap star said Piers Morgan has been her “rock” after her infamous “punchgate” fall out with Ryan Thomas.
“Piers Morgan has been a saviour,” she told The Sun in her first interview in five months.
“He has been a rock to me. He’s been through a lot himself so I think he recognised the affect the hatred had on me.”
Roxanne, 36, said she’s “lost everything” thanks to her erratic behaviour on CBB last year.
She accused Ryan of being a “woman beater” and claimed she was terrified of him after he pretended to punch her in a play fight.

The row left Ryan sobbing in the Diary Room with the full support of viewers who turned against the actress.
Roxanne has since apologised to Ryan and admitted she made a huge mistake but has so far found the public far from forgiving and all offers of work have dried up.
The former Emmerdale star admitted she now has few people left she can trust and turn to – and one of them is Piers.
Speaking of how the Good Morning Britain host has helped her, she said: “His compassion and support has kept me from going under. He’s not been soft on me – he’s told me some home truths – but he’s been in touch with me weekly from the minute it happened, he’s encouraged me to stay strong.”
Roxanne admitted she hit rock bottom at the end of last year and even considered taking her own life. Since then, she has been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and is now getting the treatment she needs.
She revealed the PTSD was caused by a number of incidents in her past including an abusive relationship and a house fire. As she didn’t deal with it at the time, it all came to a head during her time on CBB.

Now the actress hopes people will finally forgive and forget what happened so she can move on with her life.
She also hopes what happened to her will encourage others to deal with mental health problems before they go too far.
“I will always be so sorry for what happened,” said said. “I made a mistake on such a big scale. I hope others will take my mistake in neglecting my mental health as a warning that if trauma isn’t dealt with your irrationality becomes extreme.
“I’m so sorry I didn’t sort out these issues sooner, because now they’ve had an impact on someone else. And I will regret and relive that mistake for the rest of my life.”
Roxanne previously made a public apology to Ryan after quitting CBB, which he accepted when he left the house as the champion.
But it seems she still hasn’t been forgiven by everyone.
