Former Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett donned a wedding dress for a faux marriage ceremony in Manchester as she returned to the spotlight just weeks after being airlifted to hospital following a crash.
The actress, who played Jo Sugden in the ITV soap, crashed into a concrete wall while stock car racing in North Yorkshire in July.
She later told ITV’s Good Morning Britain she felt “lucky to be here” and had suffered sprained wrists and severe bruising.

On Tuesday night, she proved to be on the mend as she joined a slew of fellow soap stars for the FriendsFest event at Manchester’s Heaton Park.
Roxanne, 35, appeared to have a great time as she playfully dressed up in a wedding gown to re-create the famous Friends wedding scene.

Roxanne clutched a bouquet and smiled as partner Lee Walton jovially lifted her in the air.
Comedy Central’s FriendsFest is a touring festival that allows Friends devotees to dress up as the characters in the sitcom, explore the show’s sets and see props from the series.
Roxanne shared a clip to Instagram showing her and Lee jokingly trying to re-create the famous Ross Geller ‘pivot’ scene when he tried to get a sofa up the stairs to his apartment (with zero luck).
Fans were no doubt thrilled to see her in such good form.

Just last month, Roxanne told ITV’s GMB she’d “never been in so much pain” as the day of her crash.
She said: “It’s something you never expect to happen to you and it’s just a bit of a blur still, to be honest. I’m so dosed up on painkillers, I’m almost grateful to be this numb.”

Explaining what happened, she said: “When I was revving to drive I didn’t expect it to be so quick, and I just lost control. I couldn’t brake and I couldn’t turn it around the corner and I could just see that I was about to hit and then was when I lost … I just blacked out.”
Roxanne said she couldn’t feel her head, neck or legs when she regained consciousness.

She was airlifted by helicopter to hospital after firefighters spent two hours cutting her from the wreckage.
Roxanne told GMB that she’s been targeted by some people who don’t think her injuries were severe enough to warrant an airlift to hospital.
“They were almost disappointed that I’d been airlifted and only come out with internal bruising and sprained wrists, and I’ve got to point out that sometimes injuries can be invisible,” she said.

“I mean, my head doesn’t feel right, I can barely stretch my ribs and my back, they’re so sore. There are people walking around with injuries and disabilities that are invisible to the eye, and I think everyone needs to remember that.”
Roxanne thanked fans for their support via social media last month.
