Former Emmerdale glamour puss teases return to the soap

The actress has revealed it's not out of the question

Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett has told how she has been approached for a return to the soap.

And she’s also revealed there’s every chance she will go back to the show one day.

The actress played Jo Sugden between 2005 and 2008 and was part of a domestic violence storyline with her on-screen husband Andy Sugden.

Roxanne has since gone on to star in Dancing On Ice, and most recently could be seen treading the boards in a nationwide tour of The Wedding Singer.

However, she mysteriously quit the musical five months before she was due to finish and fled abroad.

She posted a black and white photo of herself on stage with her back to the camera, facing an empty theatre, and captioned it: “I came. I saw. I conquered.”

But despite this setback, she was in fine form on the BAFTA red carpet on Sunday night.

And now she’s revealed she could be back at the awards ceremony with her former cast mates before too long.

“Emmerdale left the door open which is a huge compliment and I would totally consider a return it if was right for both the writers and me,” she told The Sun’s Bizarre column.

She continued: “Not a week goes by when I’m not asked by the British public when they will see ‘Jo’ again, which really warms my heart.

“I got a call a couple of years ago about a return but sadly I was out of the country filming so it wasn’t to be.”

So if Jo were to come back to the soap, she’d need a reason to return. Her only connection is really to the Sugdens – could Andy Sugden return too?

He managed to redeem himself after beating her up, but is it about time he apologised to her face to face? We’d love to see him return, and now Lachlan’s done time for the crime Andy’s on the run for, there’s nothing to stop him.

In her chat with The Sun, Roxanne also spoke about her time on Dancing On Ice, which is set for a comeback next year.

“I loved my time on Dancing On Ice, it was like a magical dream.

“I would encourage anyone who gets given the opportunity to absolutely do it.”

And she even suggested exactly who she thinks should sign up first: “I would love to see Piers Morgan give it a go. I think he would scrub up nicely in some sequins and could definitely handle the pressure of being on thin ice.”
