Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi has announced she’s expecting her first child.
The actress, 34, has revealed she’s having a baby girl with hubby Arsher Ali.
The star plays Leyla Harding in the ITV soap.

Announcing the exciting news to OK! Magazine, Roxy said: “To be honest, I was absolutely terrified when I saw the test was positive. I burst into tears.
“We had only been trying for a few weeks and I was sure it was going to take us much longer! It took a few weeks before I got my head around it but, once I did, I was filled with joy.”
The star went on to explain that it was her co-star Charley Webb, who plays Debbie Dingle, who was convinced she was pregnant.
Roxy continued: “It’s weird as Charley actually told me she thought I was pregnant before I did the test. We had been working together and she called me when I got home and said my boobs gave it away.
“Arsher also guessed too because one day I had a sudden craving for Hula Hoops, which isn’t something I’d usually eat!”
The happy couple tied the knot in 2010 after falling for each other working on a play.
They were so loved-up that Arsher actually popped the question before they had even kissed!
Yoga fanatic Roxy told the Mirror: “He just looked me in the eye at a cast party and said, ‘Will you marry me?’
“I didn’t answer and he said, ‘You will be my wife’ and that was it. I didn’t quite know what to make of it because I didn’t know him that well.”
“I knew that he liked me but we hadn’t really said anything. We hadn’t even kissed!
“I half wanted to laugh and say, ‘That’s absolutely ridiculous!’ and the other half thought, ‘Oooh, kiss me passionately!'”
In her career life Roxy first played Leyla in 2008 to 2011 before making a return in 2013.
Recently in the soap Leyla was rejected at the altar by Pete Barton after they were planning to tie the knot.

Pete decided to call off the wedding and their relationship leaving Leyla heartbroken.
Things may not be going well for her character but things are definitely falling into place in Roxy’s real life.
Despite not expecting their little tot for a while Roxy has revealed her and Arsher have already chosen a name for their bundle of joy.
Roxy said: “We’ve chosen one [a name] but I want to keep it a secret until she’s born.
“We wanted something quite unusual. I’m dyslexic so I found looking at names hard, so I let Arsher suggest the ones he liked and we chose from them.”
