Even though Thomas Markle was unable to attend his daughter’s wedding day, it seems he still watched the nuptials from California.
Thomas was unable to attend Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry at Windsor Castle after having heart surgery last week.
Thomas told TMZ today that Meghan looked “beautiful” at her wedding and the ceremony was “emotional and joyful.”

“My baby looks beautiful and she looks very happy,” Thomas told the publication. “I wish I were there and I wish them all my love and all happiness.”
TMZ said Thomas is currently in California, recovering from his heart surgery.
Thomas apparently said watching the ceremony was “emotional and joyful.”
Thomas was originally supposed to be walking Meghan down the aisle, however, last week Meghan confirmed her father wouldn’t be attending the wedding due to his poor health.
She said in a statement: “Sadly my father will not be attending our wedding. I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health.
“I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support.”
Thomas, who lives in Mexico, has been recovering after a heart procedure on Wednesday.
On Friday, Kensington Palace announced that Prince Charles would do the honour and walk Meghan down the aisle.

At around noon, Meghan arrived at the chapel and showcased her stunning gown.
Her dress was designed by British designer Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. The dress featured an open bateau neckline, long sleeves and a gorgeous train.
Shortly after 1pm, the couple shared their first kiss as a married couple on the steps of the chapel.
They then embarked on a two-mile parade through the town of Windsor.
