Phil and Holly’s naughty sense of humour appears to have rubbed off on their This Morning audience.
Viewers had a field day as Michael Ball and Sara Cox became the latest replacements for Friday regulars Ruth and Eamonn.
The reason? Nothing to do with their presenting skills, it was all down to their surnames.
Cox and Ball. Bit rude, see…
One Smart Alec commented on Twitter: “Um were this pairing intentional? Ball and cox or cox and ball.”
Another said: “I never thought I would see the day when Cox and Ball would present.”
A third wrote: “Um were this pairing intentional? Ball and cox or cox and ball.” [sic]
Someone else referenced Holly and Phil’s blue humour, remarking: “Cox and Balls rolls off the tongue.
“Are they trying to do a Holly and Phil?”

Regular Monday to Thursday hosts Holly and Phil are on their summer break, which means Friday hosts Ruth and Eamonn are covering these days for the most part.
So their Friday duties are being carried out by a batch of new duos. Kepping up?!
Last week it was show regulars Dr Ranj Singh and Vanessa Feltz taking up residence on the iconic sofa.

Not everyone was best pleased with them as replacement hosts., with one moaning on Twitter: “@thismorning Please bring Holly and Phil back!! No offence but Dr Ranj really should stick to being a doctor and Vanessa – TV presenting – not your strong point!! 🙄.”
Others disagreed, with one fan stating on social media: “Wonderful! Ranj and Vanessa make a brilliant duo ❤❤❤❤”.
