TV’s Ruth Langsford has broken her silence following the death of her eldest sister Julia.
The This Morning presenter has stayed offline since her sibling’s shock passing almost three weeks ago.
Now, Ruth has spoken out to congratulate her celebrity pals Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez after Gemma gave birth.
The star posted a sweet message to new parents Gemma and Gorka after they announced the arrival of their baby girl.
Ruth commented on Gemma’s Instagram post about the happy news, which was a message about the definition of family.
Ruth, 59, wrote:”Congratulations yummy mummy and daddy!
“A beautiful (I’m sure) baby girl… what a precious gift.
“Sending you all much love.”

The Loose Women presenter’s message delighted fans who were glad to see her back online, and her comment soon attracted many likes.
Ruth was left heartbroken when her beloved sister suddenly passed away last month at the age of 62.
She posted a picture of them together and wrote: “My lovely sis Julia has sadly died after a very long illness. My heart is completely broken.
“She was the kindest and most gentle soul and I will miss her forever. As I am sure you will appreciate I need to take time to grieve with my family. Thank you for your understanding.”

Ruth has taken time out from her presenting duties to grieve with her family.
Her husband Eamonn Holmes has been presenting with stand-in co-hosts since the tragedy.
