Ruth Langsford has been all smiles on social media since her split from Eamonn Holmes and last night was no different as the Loose Women presenter showed off how she keeps her hair looking fresh and well-groomed.
However, it was also here that Ruth opened up about her battle with thinning hair. And, as she did, she also shared the medical condition that’s caused it.

The broadcaster hasn’t shied away from showing what she’s up to with her Instagram followers amid speculation of ongoing tension between her and her estranged husband, Eamonn Holmes.
In fact, more than ever, Ruth has been showing off a smile and flaunting how she is spending her days as a single woman – including, getting a new hair do!
Ruth took to Instagram to share just how she battles an unfortunate side-effect of menopause – hair thinning. The star could be seen posing for a clip in a salon chair while her stylist put new extensions into her hair.
Ruth detailed in the caption: “Had my extensions renewed @leobancroft salon …..I don’t have them for length, just for extra volume after my hair got thinner in menopause.
“These are so tiny I hardly feel I have them in….but really notice the difference when I don’t! Thanks as always @laurenhoughtonhair for your expertise and the laughs!”

Ruth Langsford criticised for ‘mid life crisis’ after split
Although Ruth seemed to find the positive in her struggle with thinning hair, she did garner some negative remarks in the comment section.
One follower complained: “Again. How often do you waste money on these?”
Another questioned cruelly: “What’s happened to your own hair?”
A third swiped: “Very false looking hair.”
“It’s like a mid-life crisis,” chimed in a fourth.

However, Ruth did also rake in some love over her new hairstyle. One followed praised: “Looking mighty fine there Miss Ruth!!! You got this beaut.”
Another defended Ruth stating: “She’s had her hair done, she looks very happy with it YET sooooo many negative comments.”
A third said: “Go on Rapunzel Ruth.”
A fourth added: “Beautiful Ruth. My fave Loose Woman.”
In May, Ruth and Eamonn confirmed they were separating after being together for 27 years. They have been married for 14 years.
