Yesterday on Loose Women, the gals were chit-chatting about how some couples want to spice up their sex lives by introducing a bit of good old-fashioned bondage into their relationship.
But during the no-holds barred conversation, which was inspired by an article about couples wanting to kink up their sex lives, Ruth suggested to any novices that if anyone fancied trying their hands at getting all Fifty Shades on their fella, then they should look around the home for a sex tool for inspiration.
She then produced a potato peeler, cheese grater and a whisk fork under her desk, sending the panel and audience in to fits of hysterics.
‘They call it power play,” she explained. “And in this piece the journalist says you don’t need specialist equipment you can use everyday items.”
Bravely, Ruth then went on to shed some light on her own personal life with Eamonn by revealing: “When I read the first [Fifty Shades] I said there’s nothing you know like… who hasn’t done a bit of that? I would call it erotica,” she confessed.
“Not like whipping and things but just a little erotica I think introduced between a couple.”
Ruth’s frank admission not only shocked viewers but her panel too, with Coleen exclaiming: “I will never ever look at Ruth and Eamonn the same way!”
Enjoying the moment, Ruth then picked up the metal whisk and a masher, looked straight into the camera and joked “I’m on my way home darling!”
But Ruth wasn’t the only one with a kinky secret.
Janet Street Porter added that she had used handcuffs in the bedroom. Kind of.
“I went back to a hotel with one of my ‘back-burner men’ and he produced this bag and out of it he took some items and he’d already ordered drinks from room service.

“As the bloke wheeled the trolly into the room I saw some handcuffs and other stuff so I had to sit on some of them to hide them.
“After more drinks, this man was persuaded not to use to items in question and when he passed out in the morning I left early because I had a business meeting and handcuffed his hand to the bed and put the key on the other side of the room!”
