Ruth Langsford reveals the truth about rows with Eamonn Holmes

They are starring in a new TV show together on Channel 5

Viewers of This Morning will already be familiar with Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes’ naughty humour and playful rows.

The husband and wife duo have been working together for almost two decades, but Ruth admits it has taken a lot of patience along the way!

The presenter even said in a new interview that sometimes she gets ‘sick’ of her husband, and that the occasional stormy atmosphere in the studio is very much the real deal!

“We do get sick of each other sometimes and I’ll think, ‘Ugh, he’s really annoying me this morning and now I’ve got to go to work with him,'” she told The Sun.

“People know that when they see us on This Morning being a bit [frosty] with each other. But that’s the beauty of a real relationship.”

In a separate chat with The Mirror, she added: “People talk about us arguing on TV and I laugh. Believe me, you wouldn’t want to see us having a full blown row on TV – especially not from me!”

Although they are one of the most high profile couples on daytime TV, Ruth was also quick to add that she and Eamonn, 58, are like any other couple – they even row over the milk!

But despite the silly rows, Ruth, 57, was full of praise for her husband and said there was nobody she would rather co-present with. Aww!

The duo have landed a new show, which will air tonight on Channel 5, so there will be plenty more chemistry to come between the pair!

Do The Right Thing has been described as a consumer entertainment show.

It will see the couple reunite family members, discuss new trends, and help shine the limelight on special campaigns.

Ruth herself will be a sight for sore eyes as she appears to join in when researching the new naked exercise trend.

Yet the show will not shy away from tackling difficult subjects either, as Ruth and Eamonn warn they will discuss some very emotional and distressing subject matters.

In tonight’s episode, the hosts talk with a mother whose baby suffocated on a nappy bag, and another whose child burned their throat on a button battery.

The couple plan to warn viewers of the dangers to prevent such tragedies happening again.

Do The Right Thing airs Thursday at 9pm on Channel 5.
