Celebrity Big Brother winner Ryan Thomas has revealed he is spending his first weekend outside of the house with the two special ladies in his life – girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh, and daughter Scarlett.
After being crowned the winner of the Channel 5 reality show on Monday, Ryan, 34, clearly couldn’t wait to be reunited with his loved ones, sharing a super-cute Instagram post of him and Lucy kissing nine-year-old Scarlett’s cheeks.
The Coronation Street star captioned the picture: “Weekend with my girls.”
Ryan also shared his relaxing weekend plans over on Instagram Stories, posting videos of Scarlett on a train, and another of her singing.
In one video, she tells her dad: “Talk to the hand, because the face ain’t listening!”
We know where she’s got her cheekiness from!
Ahead of a Boohoo man party last night, which Ryan attended with brother Scott and Lucy, the trio spent Friday in bed watching Twilight, followed by a cooked breakfast on Saturday morning.
While Lucy can be seen making a fry-up, Ryan’s mini-me Scarlett opted to bake a chocolate cake, instead.
Their idyllic family weekend follows a tough few weeks for Ryan, after being embroiled in controversy while inside the house.
Roxanne Pallet’s wrongful accusations that he was a ‘woman beater’ after a play fight in the house hit headlines almost daily, and Ryan was left in tears as he feared what the public reaction has been.
On the outside, Lucy, 27, showed her ongoing support for her boyfriend of a year and a half, appearing on The Victoria Derbyshire show to speak out about the scandal.
“It’s been the hardest couple of days, watching the person you love go through hell. It’s been extremely upsetting and uncomfortable to watch,” she revealed.
She added that at times, she felt like taking Ryan away from the North London CBB house altogether.
“I still can’t imagine how painful this all must have been for him. I’m trying not to to be honest, as every time I do I burst into tears and want to get into my car and drive to Elstree and get him out!”
Ryan had nothing to worry about, and his sense of humour, honesty, and clear devotion to his family and Lucy won over the public, who championed him to be the show’s 22nd series.
Upon leaving the house, Ryan accepted Roxanne’s apology, but describes himself as ‘breaking; under the weight of her accusations.
It certainly looks like it’s onwards and upwards for Ryan – after he’s enjoyed some much needed rest!
