The Love Island drama continues as Georgia Steel and Sam Bird butt heads again via social media.
Sam has now taken to Instagram with his “side of the story” after the pair confirmed their break up on Wednesday night.
Responding to Georgia’s post on Friday – where she claimed Sam, 25, is “going to the press” because “Sam thinks I cheated” – he wrote in a lengthy note that he “never threatened to sell anything, I only want people to know the truth about what happened.”
He goes on: “Georgia went round her ex’s on more than one occasion and lied about it. One was at about 4am. She sent a selfie with her ex in bed together to her friend only days ago.
“Sending inappropriate ‘sext’ messages to your ex is not banter. It’s cheating and not loyal, simple as that.”
The reality star ended by saying: “I just want to move on from this situation… I just want me and Georgia to be happy now.”
It follows Georgia, 20, sharing her own note on Instagram – which she later deleted.

In the post she accused Sam of going through her phone and finding, “banter I had between me and my best mate… The banter was about my ex boyfriend from which he’s then put two and two together and come up with an imaginary scenario.”
The reality star strenuously denied cheating, writing: “There was NO third party involved in the break up between him and I.” Georgia admits spending the night at her ex’s house but adds: “NOTHING did happen. I’m honestly not like that.”
In fact, Georgia says the reason for their split was that she “fell out of love”, adding: “I really do hope he finds the girl for him as he has so much to give and does deserve to find love. And I really hope I find the man for me, too, in the future.”
It followed Sam posting a cryptic message on InstaStories where he wrote: “Claims that Georgia has cheated on me with our tour manager and friend Stevie Lux is NOT true.
“It involves her ex”.
It came just hours after they walked a red carpet together looking perfectly happy.
Personal trainer Sam wrote on Twitter: “I’m devastated to announce me and Georgia have split up for reasons I can’t bring myself to comment on at the moment. As always I wish her all the best”.
Georgia followed suit on her Instagram Stories, writing in a post: “I’m very sad to say me and Sam have split. I will always care about him. However please understand this is a hard time for us both. Thank you”.
ED! has contacted representatives of Sam and Georgia for comment.
