When you’re parents to young children, finding time for a bit of romance can be a real challenge.
Just ask Samia Longchambon. The Coronation Street actress and mum-of-two, 36, took to Instagram today to share a photo of a lunch ‘date’ she’d had with her husband, French ice skater Sylvain, 37.
And she admitted to her 267,000 followers that it had been a real rarity.
Happily, the couple didn’t even have to get a babysitter, as Samia’s eight-year-old daughter Freya would’ve been at school, while their two-year-old son Yves was fast asleep next to them!
Manchester-born Samia, who plays Maria Connor in the ITV soap, posted a picture of Sylvain sitting at a table laid with tapas-like food.
The big grin on his face was obviously because he was spending time with his wife – although he was probably pretty chuffed with the food, too, as it looked delicious!
Samia captioned the shot: “Not had a date just the two of us in a long time… pretending we are on one now while Yves naps at the side of us #lunchdate #kindof #almostromantic.”
And no sooner had the post been shared than Samia’s followers were sending positive vibes to the couple.

One fan offered: “What a handsome husband you have, Samia.”
Another, presuming that the ‘date’ had taken place at the couple’s home, added: “Looks like Syl cooked up a right feast there for you!”
Samia and Sylvain fell in love after being partnered together on the 2013 edition of Dancing On Ice.
Prior to the series, Samia had been dating actor Will Thorp, while Sylvain had been in a relationship with Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe.

This year, Sylvain was partnered on the ITV ice show with another Hollyoaks actress, Stephanie Waring, but the pair failed to impress the judges and were booted off the series in week two.
Back in May, Samia credited her husband with helping her to cope with the panic attacks she’s suffered for 25 years.
She told the Daily Mirror: “You feel like you’re going to die; you can’t breathe.
“[Sylvain] tries to understand. He’s so patient. When I’ve had panic attacks, he knows how to calm me down.”
Well, it sounds like their lunch ‘date’ was the perfect way to chill out.
