Poor old Scarlett Moffatt – having had her teeth done this week, she was doubtless looking forward to showing off those shiny new fangs on today’s Sunday Brunch.
Sadly, she didn’t get the chance as she was forced to pull out of her guest appearance with a stomach bug just hours before the show went on air.
The reality star, 27 – who was due to promote her new book, Me Life Story: Sofa, So Good! – tweeted from her sick bed in the early hours of this morning, explaining that she’d been struck down after eating some “dodgey [sic] chicken”.
Just after midnight, Scarlett tweeted a message to her followers, simply saying: “So ill.” We can only assume that she was too busy throwing up to write anything more.
But later on, she did elaborate on her condition, tweeting: “Google isn’t helping. If you eat dodgey [sic] chicken then vomit 12 hours later, is that food poisoning or just a coincidence?”
She then revealed her frustration at being stricken: “When you stay in because you have to be up early, have one drink, go to bed by 9, yet you’re still spending your morning ill.”
Finally, after tweeting a message to the official Sunday Brunch Twitter feed with a bunch of crying emojis, she resigned herself to missing out on her TV appearance.

She wrote: “Spending my day in a onesie, in bed, drinking water, sweating this bug out… fun times. Happy Sunday, everyone x.”
Sunday Brunch responded with a sweet message: “Sorry we don’t get to see you today. GET WELL SOON!!!!”
Scarlett made her name on Channel 4 show Gogglebox, before winning I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! last year. She now presents the Channel 4 dating show Streetmate.
During her time on the jungle show, she was unable to take part in one of the climbing tasks as she suffers from something called Bell’s palsy.

The condition, which was brought on by a car accident Scarlett was involved in when she was 11, means that she can’t completely close her left eye, and isn’t allowed to scale great heights.
Speaking in her autobiography, Scarlett Says, she explained: “I have to sleep with a little eye mask and my mouth still goes to the side when I talk, although people don’t really notice.”
We hope to see her rocking up on Sunday Brunch sometime soon.
