Scarlett Moffatt speaks about her I’m A Celeb role for the first time

The Gogglebox star is taking over

ITV2 has finally confirmed the line up for the new series of the I’m a Celebrity spin-off show, Extra Camp, with one of the hosts named as Scarlett Moffatt.

The 27-year -old appeared on Friday’s This Morning and couldn’t wait to tell hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford all about it.

She will be presenting the spin off show with last year’s camp buddy and runner up, comedian Joel Dommett as well as long-standing host Joe Swash.

Talking about the new role, she said: “I’m so excited, I’m really excited.

“It’s a bit crazy, I’m so excited.”

“I feel like I have a lot of empathy for them [the celebrities].”

But it’s well known that being out in Australia for that amount of time can take over your life, as Scarlett knew after taking part in the show last year.

She told the duo: “I’m gonna have to get my Christmas shopping done now as I’m over there for so long!’

“After last year’s Jungle experience which was a dream come true, I can’t believe I’m so lucky to have the dream continue by being part of this amazing show. It’s going to be so much fun.”

The former Gogglebox star will be replacing last year’s hosts Stacey Solomon and Vicky Pattison.

Vicky had appeared in a recent video assuring her fans at the time that ‘no decision’ had been made and said: “If I’m not right for a job or the producers decide to replace me, I would take it on the chin. I know I’m relatively new to this industry but I do know that’s the future of the game.

“However, there have been no decisions made about Extra Camp, none at all, and that’s a quote that’s gone on record from both my management and everyone at ITV.”

Vicky made sure to add: ‘If, when the time comes, ITV decide to replace me or my role is made obsolete, I will accept it.’

Laters then pet!

The new trio will be filming the live show in Australia after every episode of the main show, which is looking to start in November.
