Former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt displayed an enviable level of composure as she served up a cool response to a ‘rude’ troll who tried to fat shame her on social media.
The TV presenter posted an epic throwback on Instagram to show fans how much she’s changed over the last 10 years and share a message about looking ahead with positivity.

She wrote alongside the pic: “Monday reflection. These pictures are exactly 10 years apart, yet I remember taking the one on the left like it’s yesterday and I remember at 18 constantly wishing I had finished uni, I had a career, my own house, that I looked a certain way etc.
“I’m here to say, please don’t worry about what you will become tomorrow because if you do that, you will forget you are someone today! Don’t let ‘what ifs’ and ‘I wish’ ruin the present moment.”
One troll decided to use the post as an opportunity to take a pop at Scarlett’s weight, writing in the comments alongside a shocked-face emoji: “Put on a lot of weight.”
Rushing to her defence, one follower told them, “Rude. Hope nobody publicly points that out to your kids when they’re older” while another said, “Be kinder. It costs nothing. Try it. Also, have some manners!”
Anyone expecting Scarlett to explode at the troll, or rush to deny she’s put on any weight, will have been taken aback by her peaceful response.
Addressing one of her defenders and noticeably ignoring the troll, she wrote: “That’s ok, people think this is a bad comment but it’s just an observation. I don’t take it as an insult”.
She rounded off her comment with a heart emoji, as another follower told her: “Beautiful and happy. Who cares what little-minded people think…”

Scarlett’s no stranger to sharing hilarious throwbacks to her teenage years.
Last month, she posted another pic of herself smiling next to a pal and jokingly apologised to fans for her terrible tan and dodgy eyebrows.
She wrote alongside the photo: “I can only apologise for my eyebrows, my attempt at contouring with apparently only orange-based make-up.”
