Scarlett Moffatt’s parents have defended their daughter from accusations that she’s being a jungle bully.
The I’m A Celebrity….Get Me Out of Here! star, 26, has upset some viewers over her treatment of Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts, 53.
But Scarlett’s parents told The Sun that the Gogglebox regular had been bullied herself in her past over her goofy teeth, monobrow and obsession with aliens.
“As someone who has been bullied herself when she was younger, I think she would be absolutely mortified if she thought people were saying she was a bully.
“That really isn’t the sort of person she is,” her mum Betty told the newspaper.
“When she comes out, I think she’ll be really upset by that and will feel really bad about it.
“Personalities clash. You’re not going to go in there and think everyone is going to be your sort of person.
Scarlett isn’t going to be everyone’s person in there either.”
Scarlett and Danny Baker – who was ejected from the jungle on Friday night – were involved in a row when they took the same side against Martin, who was later seen in tears.
The Gogglebox star also cried, saying: “It’s been fun and now all of a sudden, because of a stupid game that doesn’t matter, people start to argue.”
