Scarlett Moffatt might be gurning as much as Vicky Pattison as she chows down on the ickiest bugs and body parts in the jungle, but she’s one lucky lady.
Not only is she the nation’s sweetheart, with a successful autobiog already under her belt, she’s also got herself a drop dead gorgeous ginger boyfriend who appears to missing her loads, posting cutely online: “Missing her more than Scarlett misses chicken kebabs.”
For those not yet acquainted with him, please meet the incredibly handsome and rugged Luke Crodden, a tattooed hairdresser from the Toon.
Isn’t he just so fine?
Since Scarlett arrived in the jungle he’s been posting messages of support to his brave missus. But this week he started to wonder if her relationship with Larry Lamb, a man old enough to be her granddad, after the pair grew close in the jungle.
On opening night of the show, viewers saw loveable and protective Larry rescue Scarlett as waded in a swamp, after her canoe sank beneath her.
This was enough to get poor Luke thousands of miles away fearing the worst, admitting in a joke message on Instagram:“Here’s hoping she doesn’t leave me for Larry.”
But Luke needn’t worry too much, because Scarlett, it would seem, only has eyes for one man. And he’s a ginger one with a beard back home in Newcastle. Yes, Luke, that’s YOU!
Just before heading Down Under, the gobby lovely revealed that in spite of dating the beefy ginger fox for just seven months, she was already thinking about the next step. As in, getting engaged!
She recalled: “Just before I came out to Australia, my friend works at a jewellers and he invited us over to his store for some free Prosecco. I went and I said, ‘While I’m here, I might as well try some rings on.’
“And they were engagement rings. I pointed out which one I like and what my ring size is, just so that he knows which one to get in the future.
“If that isn’t a hint, I don’t know what is.”
Well, fingers crossed that when Scarlett inevitably wins the show, Luke is there waiting for her at the end of the gang plank with a very special sparkler. They make a lovely coouple. And Scarlett is well lucky, as Luke is fit.
