If you were feeling at all broody, look away now, because Scott Thomas has posted the most adorable picture of him cradling his newborn niece on Instagram.
Welcoming his twin brother Adam’s newborn daughter into the world, Scott, 29, captioned the sweet snap, “Welcome to the world Elsie-Rose Thomas. I will love and protect you forever.”
He added hashtags including “family” and “everything”.

Elsie arrived into the world on Tuesday 22nd May, and at just two days old, already looks perfectly content to be looked after by her uncle.

Fans were full of admiration for the Love Island star, telling Scott he looked incredibly besotted with the super-cute tot.
“If that’s not what a doting uncle looks like, I don’t know what does,” wrote one.
Another agreed, “That look on your face – beautiful pic.”
Followers also remarked how lucky Elsie is to be joining the close knit Thomas family.
“Aww I love this Scott, it’s lovely. Elsie Rose is going to be so lucky to be in the Thomas family,” remarked a fan.
“Congratulations to you all! Wish every child had an uncle like you and your brothers,” added another, also referring to Adam and Scott’s other brother, former Coronation street actor Ryan Thomas, 33.
Scott is also uncle to Ryan’s nine-year-old daughter Scarlett, from his relationship with Tina O’Brien.
Former Emmerdale actor Adam, 29, and his dancer wife Caroline have been together for ten years and also have a three-year-old son, Teddy, whom Scott is often spotted babysitting on Instagram.
“Best Sunday morning I’ve had in a while babysitting this absolute character. No words for how much I love this kid!” Scott wrote on Sunday, hinting that he had been Adam and Caroline’s babysitter of choice while she had gone into labour.
Meanwhile, Scott’s own love life has been making headlines lately.
Scott split with girlfriend of a year and a half, Kady McDermott, in December last year, after meeting on Love Island in 2016.
Prior to their split, the couple had already been discussing starting a family, and had even chosen their baby names.

“We’ve already chosen our children’s names. For a boy we like Noah, and for a girl, we want Skye. We want a boy and a girl,” Kady said.
In the meantime, we’re sure Scott will be very busy with babysitting duties!
