He knows true fear after going through the X Factor process, but Shayne Ward doesn’t fancy the scares of the I’m A Celeb jungle!
There have been rumours circulating that the 34-year-old singer might be taking part in this year’s series Down Under, but he has now denied he had been approached by show bosses.
When talking to OK! Magazine, he said: “I haven’t been approached. I don’t even eat sushi, so God help me with an eyeball!”
We would love to see that, Shayne…
He continued: “But for the experience, they do say that it’s a once-in-a-lifetime thing – so you’ve got to go for it.”
Shayne was one of the bookies’ favourites to appear on I’m A Celeb after he left his role of Aidan Connor on Coronation Street earlier this year.
But he might also be reluctant to rough it in camp because he has young daughter Willow, who was born in December 2016, with fiancée Sophie Austin.
Fans have been pointing out how different Shane appears these days, with some branding him “hot” and a “stud” thanks to all his extra facial fuzz!
Shayne has been filming for new action movie, Stairs, which will see him star opposite his partner Sophie, also 34. He has revealed his character’s name is Will Stanton and the movie is set for release in 2019.

Last month, Shayne revealed that his beardy look was down to his new job.
He explained: “I thought I’d keep the beard for a bit, it’s quite funny actually because people I know don’t recognise me.”

Other celebrities rumoured to be heading to the jungle this year include Corrie actress Sair Khan, X Factor singer Fleur East and former Strictly Come Dancing pro Brendan Cole.
Meanwhile, Holly Willoughby will stand in for Ant McPartlin and co-host the show with Dec Donnelly.
