Shayne Ward returned to the cobbles of Weatherfield to surprise his former co-star Catherine Tyldesley as she prepares to bid farewell to Corrie.
Catherine, who plays Eva Price in the ITV soap, took to Instagram to share a snap of herself alongside Shayne on set of the soap.
She captioned the post: “Best surprise ever! This spoon turns up to surprise me! Missed you spud!”
Fans couldn’t get over the sweet snap, with many gushing about the pair’s friendship.
One person said: “You are my two favourite people,” while another wrote: “Going to miss you on Corrie.”
“I love you @auntiecath17 and @shaynetward,” a third commented. “The cobbles won’t be the same without you guys.”
Shayne, 33, left the programme last month when his character Aidan Connor took his own life.
Aidan was engaged to Catherine’s character Eva.
Catherine, 34, announced last year that she was leaving Corrie after seven years.
She released a statement at the time that read: “Eva has been such fun to play over the last seven years, and who knows, one day she might storm the cobbles of Weatherfield again.
“In the meantime I’m excited about the future, new acting projects, and spending time with my family.”
With just a few days left filming for Corrie, Catherine is already beginning her goodbyes.
The actress shared a snap of herself with her hairstylist Laura Harrison.
Catherine wrote: “Will miss this one.”
The star also posted a photo of several Coronation Street-themed cupcakes, which were decorated with photos of the Corrie logo and one of Eva’s famous catchphrases: “Oh babes.”

Earlier this year, Corrie viewers watched Eva give up her baby to Toyah Battersby before realising she actually wanted her baby back and made sure she would stop at nothing to make that happen.
It’s still unclear how Eva will leave the cobbles and Catherine has kept very tight-lipped on her exit.
She told This Morning last month: “I can’t tell you anything! Well, the door is being left open, thank God. Touch wood. As long as I don’t upset anybody.
“We’ll see what happens. I love it here. It’s been my home for seven years. I spend more time here than what I do my normal home, so yeah, we’ll see.”
