Shirley Ballas has shared the news that she’s got the “all clear” after undergoing biopsy tests amid a cancer scare.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, 63, recently told fans on Instagram that she had undergone a biopsy, following a routine mammogram appointment.
In an interview at the weekend, Shirley said she was worried she had “worked myself to death”.
Today (April 30), Shirley shared a health update with her followers as she received her results.

In a post on Instagram, Shirley said: “Thank you to you all for your well wishes following my two mammograms, one ultrasound and three biopsies last week. I am feeling blessed to share that my results have come back all clear – there is no cancer present.”
The dancer continued: “Sharing the picture to my story last week very much triggered my emotions, but I feel it’s only right for me to share both the highs and the lows of life. If I was able to help just one lady, then sharing my picture was worth it.
“I got my recall while on holiday and I immediately cleared my diary to allow for the appointment. I urge all women to do the same. Please do not put your mammogram, smear test or in fact any appointment off. They really can change your life. Who knows what may have happened if I put mine off? Get booked, get checked, get your body MOT everyone.”
She concluded the post: “With immense gratitude to friends, family and fans who reached out. I appreciate you more than you know.”

Shirley shares ‘worries’ over health
Speaking to The Sun recently, Shirley said of her health scare: “I’m worried I’ve worked myself to death. It’s been terrifying, to have the needle go in your body to numb it before the biopsy.
“I feel very emotional. I’m not the same at work at the moment, so I’m teaching, but it’s constantly on my mind.”

Shirley added: “Every time the phone rings, I think, ‘Oh, maybe they are my results.'”
The dancer said she went for a routine mammogram, where doctors found something which they weren’t sure what it was.
Shirley said she then had to have a 3D mammogram, which is a “more advanced machine”. However, she said doctors were still not happy after finding “lumpy tissue”.
She then underwent a biopsy. She had three in total.
Shirley said she struggled to tell her mother about her health scare as her biggest fear “would be that I pass before my mother”.
It comes after Shirley urged fans on Instagram last week to get their breasts checked.

Alongside a photo of her with a bandage on, where she had the biopsy, Shirley wrote: “Urging all women do not miss your mammogram.
“Went for mine, ended up going for a second one and a biopsy, local anaesthetic biopsy done. Now waiting for results.”
She added: “Amy Dowden you ran through my mind the importance of not putting it off go and get tested. Plus self breast check regularly.”
Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. She underwent a mastectomy and chemotherapy. Earlier this year, she was told there was no evidence of the disease.
