Pat Phelan is in for an almighty shock in Coronation Street when a ghost from his past returns to the cobbles.
Waitress Steph Britton – who is played by actress Tisha Merry in the ITV soap – will be making a thrilling comeback in the new year as she searches for answers about missing ex Andy Carver.
Viewers know that Phelan kept Andy captive in a dingy basement for almost a year before gunning him down in cold blood.
Recently Steph’s brother Luke had realised Andy was missing and not travelling as he thought and began to look into his disappearance.
Steph originally left the cobbles after she and Andy tried to take Phelan down but ended up being blackmailed by him into committing crimes for him instead.

The pair had planned to run away to Portugal together to escape Phelan but when Phelan caught Andy with the incriminating evidence, he knocked him out and chained him up.
Steph left Weatherfield alone after Phelan posed as Andy to text her to end their relationship.
However, now Steph will return and be on the hunt for the truth about what really happened to Andy.
A source told The Daily Star Sunday: “This is going to be a very dramatic storyline.
“Pat has been up to no good for a while now but the storyline is coming to a head.”
Actress Tisha will be seen back on screen in February as Phelan’s end nears.
However, The Sun Online claims Tisha will only be back for a short stint.
An insider told the publication: “Tisha never ruled out coming back to the soap and is exciting about returning.
