When it comes to applying for a job as a judge on a dancing show, it usually helps if you know a thing or two about dancing.
But that doesn’t seem to have stopped one surprise candidate from putting her name in the hat for the vacant judging role on Strictly.
We’re talking about… wait for it…
Yes, none other than Katie Price.
The former model, 38, has raised eyebrows by telling the Daily Star of her ambition to replace Len Goodman on the BBC1 show.

“I’d jump at the chance to be the judge on Strictly,” she revealed.
“I haven’t had any offers, but I’m ready if they want me.”
We reckon Len – who retired after the last series – will be a hard act to follow. Having been on the show since it first aired in 2004, he’s popular with both the dancers and the viewers.
Katie conceded that BBC bosses will probably be “too scared” to give her the job, but we give her a “seven!” for trying.
Anyway, she might have something else to fall back on.
Commenting on a newspaper story about her friend and former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton’s dream to appear on ITV1’s returning Dancing On Ice, Katie tweeted: “I would so do this.”

Whether she ends up on either show remains to be seen.
But one thing’s for sure – if she does, it promises to be good entertainment.
