Coronation Street star Julia Goulding has spoken out about her fears that her character Shona Ramsey could be killed off.
Julia joined the soap in 2016 and has become a fan favourite as Shona fixed David Platt’s broken heart.

As it is in soap, the course of true love didn’t run smoothly and – before they got together properly – David found out that Shona’s son had murdered his wife, Kylie.
What are the chances, eh?
But David managed to look past that and ‘Shavid’ has become one of the Street’s most popular couples.
Despite being taken into the nation’s hearts, Julia worries that her time on the cobbles could be limited.
Speaking to The Sun, the actress said it makes her feel a bit concerned seeing as David’s last wife ended up dead.
She said: “I’d love to be Mrs Platt. David’s wives don’t have a habit of living for very long so that makes me feel a bit sweaty under the collar.
“I love Shona and David together. I had big shoes to fill after Paula Lane left as Kylie.
“They worked so well together.
“But I like to see it as not filling her shoes but giving a different side to what David can have in a relationship.”
Let’s hope that Shona sticks around for a while at least as David is going to need her over the coming months.
As pretty much the entire universe now knows, he becomes the victim of male rape in March.

Julia commented previously that the assault and its aftermath puts strain on their relationship.
We’re all hoping she can fix his heart again.
