Former EastEnders actor Sid Owen has revealed the legend that is June Brown has promised she will get him back on the BBC One soap.
Sid played Ricky Butcher on and off from 1988 and is dad to Tiffany Butcher, who has recently returned to Walford.

Ricky was last seen on the Square back in 2012 when he discovered he was the biological father to his ex, Bianca Jackson’s, youngest daughter.
And now Tiff (Maisie Smith) has returned, Sid says his old pal June – AKA Dot Branning – is on the case about bringing Ricky back to the Square too.
Sid told OK! magazine: “She was trying to convince me to come back to EastEnders. She was like: ‘I’m going to have a word and get you back.'”
He went on to say that he does miss working on the soap which made him a household name.
He continued: “You do miss the routine sometimes.
“And that camaraderie – it’s very family-orientated because your friends are there.”
While we’ll have to wait and see if June can pull some strings with EE bosses and get Sid back, we know his on-screen partner – Bianca – won’t be heading back down Walford way any time soon.
Actress Patsy Palmer who played the feisty redhead has relocated to California and seems to be having the time of her life in the sunshine.

She revealed during an appearance on Loose Women last year that she didn’t miss acting and was happy working on different projects.
She candidly told the panel: “I’m not going to lie. I don’t miss acting one bit. I don’t.”
