Talk about leaving things to the last minute; Simon Cowell has reportedly “torn up” the plan for Saturday night’s X Factor final, to bring in an eleventh hour twist.
There are three acts left – Dalton Harris, Anthony Russell and Scarlett Lee – and a new report claims Simon has decided not to switch things up, by refusing to axe ANY of them on tonight’s show.
Instead, all three will get the chance to perform the winner’s single, with all three making it through to the last episode on Sunday.
An ITV show insider told The Sun Online: “Simon thinks this is one of the strongest finals ever and has decided they’ve all earned the opportunity to shine.
“Plus, all three being able to perform their winner’s single will improve the odds of the public choosing a song that will trouble the charts.
“Simon can’t wait to see them all battle it out until the very end.”

It’s been a fairly controversial series, but it’s set to be an epic weekend for the finalists.
As usual, we’ll see an array of superstars duetting with our contestants. Dalton is performing with Emeli Sande, Anthony has indie rocker Tom Walker and Scarlett gets to sing with X Factor judge Robbie Williams.
The 44-year-old Angels singer will perform twice, also doing a medley of his hits with all ten of this year’s finalists.
Whoever wins will go on to release their single. James Arthur is reportedly teaming up with Dalton if he wins, while Anthony is set to work with Kaiser Chiefs and Leona Lewis would duet with Scarlett.
