According to new reports Simon Cowell has decided he wants to stir things up again in order to win back some viewers who have deserted the show over the past few series.
And one of those changes is that he wants more eliminations.
Which means acts could leave on the Saturdays as well as the Sundays.
But, to quote legendary comic Jimmy Cricket, there’s more.
Simon is believed to be thinking about cutting the live shows down from ten to six and having superstar guests perform on both nights.
He has told his production team that he doesn’t want as many novelty acts on the show, in spite of the success the likes of Honey G and Rylan Clark-Neal.
A source has told The Sun that Simon wants people to be gripped by the drama over the entire weekend, not just the Sunday show.
“The Saturday night show became so tedious as there was rarely any drama which an eviction would bring,” the snitch is reported to have teased.
“ITV believes transforming it is the right decision.
“It means all singers will perform on both Saturday and Sunday evenings, with acts being eliminated both nights.”
There are also plans to do auditions at Thorpe Park because producers think a kooky location will create some funny footage.
