Sir Tom Jones had to cancel his concert at Stansted Park on Wednesday night and has had to postpone his gig at Chester Racecourse on Thursday due to a bacterial infection.
On Wednesday, a statement was released to his Twitter account explaining that the singer had been “advised by doctors not to perform”.
Fans with tickets were told they can get full refunds as the singer’s team apologised for the inconvenience.

The statement read: “It is with regret that we have to cancel Tom Jones’ performance at Stansted Park this evening.
“Unfortunately, Sir Tom is unwell and has been advised by doctors not to perform. All ticket holders will receive a full refund by contacting their point of purchase.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this causes and we wish Tom well.”
Meanwhile, on Thursday another statement was released to Twitter explaining that Tom has had to reschedule his performance at Chester Racecourse because he’s “being treated in hospital” for a bacterial infection.

It read: “It is with regret that we have to postpone Tom Jones’ performance at Chester Racecourse this evening.”
It said all tickets will remain valid until the rescheduled date and if people are unable to attend the new date, refunds will be available.
It added: “Sir Tom Jones has a bacterial infection for which he is being treated in hospital.
“The condition is being well managed and we are hoping for a speedy recovery.
“He is extremely sorry and disappointed not to be able to perform tonight, and sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused to the audience and all those who are involved in the event.”
Back in September, Tom was forced to cancel his US tour just five days before it was due to begin “following medical advice”.
The star sent his “sincere apologies” to fans in a post on Twitter in which he said dates were being rescheduled for the following year.
A statement, also posted on the It’s Not Unusual singer’s website, read that “following medical advice, Sir Tom Jones has announced that he will unfortunately be postponing his US tour, which was due to commence in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday 6th September.

“Dates are being re-scheduled for May and June 2018 and all tickets will remain valid for the new dates, details of which, will follow as soon as possible.
“Tom sends his sincere apologies to his fans and looks forward to seeing them all again in 2018.”
