Martin told The Express, “I was like, ‘what do you mean there’s a dead body?'”
The producer said: “In the bed… there’s a dead body.
But the story soon took a twist.
“Then [the body] started snoring,” Martin continued.
“And we nudged this mound and this old bloke sits up in bed and goes ‘who are you lot?’ and it was grandad.”
“The family had left in such a rush they had forgotten to take grandad with them,” Martin said.
“They had forgotten!”

Meanwhile, Corrie star Jack P Shepherd has joined Martin by having a hair transplant after stress and insomnia made him go bald.
The Coronation Street actor, 31, had the procedure done by surgeon Asim Shahmalak from Crown Clinic in Manchester.
Jack chose Dr Shahmalak for the procedure because of his global reputation for excellence and his work with other celebrities such as Calum Best, TV doctor Christian Jessen, former footballer Didi Hamann and Martin.
