The idea of a Spice Girls reunion has always seemed a bit too good to be true – but rumours of a tour are always too good to be resisted.
But apparently we were all wrong to be hopeful – according to The Sun, the longed-for reunion is cancelled once again.

There’s been a dizzying amount of speculation regarding a possible tour – kicking off when the girls posted a group shot to instagram, and another with their former manager, Simon Fuller.
Mel B claimed a tour was possible during an appearance on Loose Women earlier this year.
“We are in the works of figuring the stuff out – I don’t want to say too much,” she said. “All five of us have signed with Simon Fuller.”
When asked if the reunion would lead to new music she said, “It’s going to be a bit of everything. If it was up to me we’d go on tour immediately. Maybe we will soon – hopefully.
“I’ve always said ‘we’re definitely touring’.”
But Victoria Beckham has been reticent about reuniting with her former bandmates, having claimed that any reunion was purely personal.
As the rumours of a tour began to spread, she spoke to Grazia to deny the reports.
“There is no tour, no more music from the Spice Girls, but it was great getting together with them,” she said.
“We were just saying girl power is such an important message and how do we communicate that? How do we pass the baton on, how does that look to future generations?
“And that’s what it’s about with us. It’s not about all the rumours about going on tour and recording new material.”
And now The Sun has claimed that, while planning for a tour was in the works, Victoria’s reluctance may have brought it all to a halt.
After stating that Live Nation had put together a £150 million tour for the band, The Sun’s insider source claims there has been a rift between the band and manager Simon.
“The Spice Girls are in disarray,” their source said. “While Victoria has always insisted she’d never tour, the others believed Simon would get her on board.
“They had a £150million proposal in the offing — with a headline performance at Wembley — and even Mel C, who had previously been reluctant, was signed up.”

The last time the Spice Girls performed together was at the 2012 Olympics – and we’re definitely ready for another show.
It may not look good, but we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for now…
Representatives for the Spice Girls have declined to make an official comment on the reports.
