There’s a fair few characters on their way out of Weatherfield at the moment with Anna Windass, Pat Phelan, Todd Grimshaw and (possibly) Gary Windass all leaving.
So it makes sense that Corrie bosses want to get some characters back on the Street before we’re just left with Norris and Rita.
And the good news is they’ve decided to make Rana Nazir’s brother, Imran, a regular character.

Fans have already caught a glimpse of Imran when he arrived in Weatherfield a couple of weeks ago for his sister’s wedding to Zeedan Nazir.
Actor Charlie de Melo who plays Imran will be back on the Street next week looking for a fresh start.
He arrives on the cobbles unexpectedly, revealing that his own marriage is over.
The Nazir family are stunned by this news but it has a big impact on Rana who starts to question the secret affair she’s been having with her best mate, Kate Connor.
Charlie’s previously starred in Doctors and Casualty.
Viewers with super eagle-eyes might even recognise him from EastEnders where he recently played the role of a policeman arresting Keegan Taylor on suspicion of raping Louise Mitchell a few months ago.
As fans of Corrie know, Rana has recently confessed her love for Kate after months of denying her feelings.
The pair finally got to grips with each other during Friday’s episode which saw them getting passionate in the back of a broken down van.

At the moment Luke Britton, who caught the women in the act, is the only one to know about their secret affair, but we know that Kate will end up confiding in her half-sister, Carla Connor, when she returns to the cobbles shortly.
Will Rana confess what she’s been up to with her brother? Or will he be too busy healing his own heart to help her?
