There’s been a lot of tension in the Street since Michelle Connor’s long-lost biological son Ali turned up.
Ali was swapped at birth with Michelle’s other son Ryan – who she brought up as her own. When she discovered the truth about the mix-up, 10 years ago, Michelle couldn’t cope.
Now Ali’s back in Weatherfield as a trainee GP but he’s not been thrilled to see his real mum – and he’s really not falling over himself to spend time with her.
Next week, though, Ali reveals a shocking secret about his own past. But is he telling the truth?
Liz and Robert are horrified when they overhear Ali having a furious row with his adoptive mother Wendy. Wendy is begging Ali to let her back into his life, but Ali’s having none of it.
Robert’s quick to tell Michelle what he’s heard – after all, knowing Ali’s having trouble with one mum, could help Michelle win her son round.

But Ali won’t discuss it with Michelle – leaving her upset once more.
Later, though Ali opens up to Steve. He tells him he hasn’t seen Wendy for years.
When Steve asks more about what happened between Ali and his other mum, he admits Wendy became obsessed with Ryan – her own biological son.

And he adds that she never forgave him for the time he spent with Michelle 10 years ago.
Steve’s worried for the young man, but is he telling the truth about why he and his mother are arguing?
And what does this mean for Michelle?
