Hollyoaks star Anna Passey, who plays new mum Sienna Blake, has revealed that her alter ego is going to recover from her cancer battle.
Phew!
And we’re not the only ones to be relieved that Sienna’s going to survive. Anna says it’s a load off her mind, too!
Sienna was diagnosed with cervical cancer while she was pregnant with twins last summer.

After she had her babies Sophie and Sebastian (and got Sophie back after Warren kidnapped her) Sienna’s health took a turn for the worse (not surprisingly after all that stress!).
She shaved her head, and things looked bleak for the new mum.
But now Anna has revealed to Digital Spy that Sienna is going to pull through.
“We’re going to find out that Sienna gets the all-clear from her cancer,” Anna said. “It’s been ongoing for months and months, but that’s what we’re going to see next – Sienna’s treatment will be successful.”

She said she wasn’t sure if the storyliners on the show were always intending to have Sienna survive, but that she didn’t know what the outcome would be.
“I don’t know whether they always knew but I certainly didn’t. We’ve been taking each bit as it comes and trying to do justice to it, really.”
And she added that she was worried she might be written out of Hollyoaks when she found out about Sienna’s traumatic storyline.
“I think when you get a storyline like that it does go through your head,” she admitted. “But I also thought if this was the end for Sienna, I would be really chuffed if she went out in a powerful story like that. I’ve really loved doing it, it’s been such an impactful storyline.”
We’re certainly pleased Sienna’s sticking around for a while longer!
