We’ve always known Billy Mitchell isn’t the sharpest tool in the box, but we didn’t think he’d be silly enough to cheat on lovely wife Honey. Not after he fought so hard to win her back!
But that’s what happens when Billy falls into Tina Carter’s arms next week.
Billy and Honey are devastated when daughter Janet is run over by Tina in a hit-and-run accident.

As Janet fights for life in hospital, cracks start to appear in the Mitchells’ marriage as they try to understand how anyone could knock over their little girl and flee the scene.
They don’t know Tina was responsible – and even Tina herself isn’t sure at first.
While Tina starts to come to terms with what she’s done and struggles with how guilty she’s feeling, Billy gets thrown out of home by Honey.
And with Tina wanting to make amends in any way she can, she invites him back to stay at the Vic.
But things go pear-shaped pretty quick as Billy leans in for a kiss.
The next morning, T’s even more stricken with guilt than before and she pours her heart out to Billy, admitting that she was the driver who landed little Janet in hospital.
Then she tells Shirley that Billy knows the truth, and it’s time to hand herself in at the police station.

Billy accompanies Tina as she heads off to Walford nick, but they’re stopped by Shirley who’s determined to keep Tina out of jail.
She gives the glum pair a shocking ultimatum that leaves them reeling.
