It’s a big week for David Platt next week as he makes the huge decision to go to the police about Josh Tucker raping him back in March.

David was the victim of a brutal sexual assault after Josh slipped date rape drug GHB into his drink on a boys’ night out. Josh then dragged a half-conscious David back to his flat before raping him.
Since then the mechanic has been tormenting David, goading him that no one would believe his story and even hooking up with oblivious Alya Nazir to make David’s version of events look even more unlikely.
David has lived with his horrible secret for two months, only confessing the truth to girlfriend Shona Ramsey after Aidan Connor’s tragic suicide, which made him realise how much he has to live for.
Following a run in with Dec, another victim of Josh, and after overhearing a devastated Johnny Connor confide in Peter Barlow about how much he wishes Aidan had opened up to him, David makes his big decision.
He tells Shona that he’s finally ready to tell the police what happened, but she tells him he needs to act fast as Josh is planning on leaving.
With Shona by his side, David makes the trip to the police station and reveals what happened to him on that fateful Friday night. He tells the police that he’s willing to stand up in court and say the same thing.
Josh is horrified when the police arrive to arrest him and feigns bewilderment when they tell him he’s being taken in on suspicion of rape.
Meanwhile, David asks Shona to tell Alya the truth about what Josh did to him, but Shona is blindsided when Alya reveals Josh has already told him about his one night stand with David.
An angry Shona puts Alya right, telling her Josh drugged and raped David – while a stunned Alya isn’t sure who to believe.
Will Josh finally get his comeuppance for his horrific and calculated attack on David?
