Like all the old Corrie couples – Jack and Vera; Bet and Alec; Audrey and Alf – Fiz and Tyrone just don’t work when they’re apart.
We all know it, and they know it, too. But it takes a huge tragedy for them to reunite next week.
Tyrone’s one-night stand with Gemma obviously drove them apart, but both want each other back…
There are crossed wires when Tyrone announces that he wants to move back into their house… Fiz thinks this means he wants her out.
When he gets home, she’s gone!
Ty explains that he wants them to get back together and they plan a romantic dinner to talk about the future.
But it’s interrupted by a knock at the door: the police. They have some terrible news for Ty – his mum is dead.
He hadn’t seen Jackie since 2010, when he sent her backing for being mean to this then-wife Molly.
Ty admits to Fiz that he’d hoped his mum would change and they’d be able to mend their relationship.
Fiz is heartbroken when he breaks down in her arms sobbing.

Tyrone asks her to stay with him, and she moves back in to No. 9. Aww.
And for everyone now wracking their brains about Jackie…
She was played by the formidable Scouse actress Margi Clarke, and she first appeared in Corrie in 1998, as Deirdre’s prison friend in 1998.
Yes, remember Deirdre went to prison: Free The Weatherfield One and all that?
