We can’t quite believe we’re writing this, but it’s been revealed Masood Ahmed is set to land himself a new love interest… and it’s none other than Kathy Beale!
With Ian and Masood constantly battling it out to be Walford businessman-of-the-year, we’re not sure how well it’s going to go down in the Beale household when Kathy and Masood get flirty.
Ian’s surely not going to warm to the idea of Mas being his new stepdad, is he?!

Nitin Ganatra has been revealing all the saucy secrets about the new ‘Kasood’ romance to metro.co.uk, and it sounds like this could be a romance that could last the distance…
“It’s certainly going to be very flirty with Kathy Beale,” he teased.
Nitin has also revealed that he’s worked with Gillian Taylforth, who plays Kathy, on a different show – and they played a loved-up couple then, too!
“We were both bus drivers, getting it on in the bus depot! So I knew her and she’s such a lovely person with such a good energy about her. This is the first time I’ve worked with Gillian on EastEnders though.
“I suppose there may be potential for some more romance, which wouldn’t be a bad thing. Over the years Masood has shown that he is actually a player with the ladies!”
With Masood currently secretly living in his ice cream van, surely he’s going to sort out his living arrangements before wooing Kathy?
One thing is for sure – we can’t wait to see the look on Ian’s face if ‘Kasood’ become an official couple.
Nitin is clearly thrilled to be back in EastEnders, and has revealed that while things never change when you’re working on such a huge show, there are always new faces that you haven’t seen before when you return after a break.
“I’ve been working a lot with the Taylors who are really good fun to work with and have a very good sense of comedy,” he teased.
But while Nitin is remaining tight lipped about how Masood crosses paths with the Taylor clan, he has admitted that he’s like to see a new side to Masood now that he’s back on the Square…
