Then there was her ill-fated fling with Frank Clayton. The less said about that the better.
So it’s no real shock that Charity looks set to find love in the arms of another woman, she’s pretty much exhausted all her male options, after all.
Emma Atkins, who plays the feisty blonde, told Inside Soap magazine that she’s been filming scenes with Michelle Hardwick who plays Vanessa Woodfield.
Emma told the mag: “There’s good chemistry between Charity and Vanessa, and a lot of humour too.
“Charity’s lording it over Vanessa – which is quite funny.”
There have been rumours circulating that Vanessa is about to make a move on a lady villager in the coming weeks and Emma’s comments have led us to believe that Charity is the lucky lady.
She added: “I’d like to say what’s coming up will surprise the audience – but it’s nothing Charity hasn’t done before.
“She’s just being a little more experimental. She feels hard done by at the moment and I think she’s lost her way.”
So could Vanessa be the one to help Charity find herself again?
Charity famously had a long-term relationship with Zoe Tate, while she was married to her brother, Chris.

Don’t underestimate her.
