It looks like the net is finally closing in on murdering teenager Lachlan White next week as he begins to crack under the pressure of covering up Rebecca’s disappearance.
First of all he has to think of a quick cover story when Lydia finds Bex’s memory book in Lachlan’s car boot and demands answers from him.
Lachlan comes up with a cover story and tells Lydia it must have dropped out of Rebecca’s handbag. But will she believe him?

Later it’s the twisted teen’s birthday and he fakes a text from Rebecca to himself wishing him a happy birthday.
But he later loses his temper when everyone starts to quiz him about her and rushes out.
Robert is worried about Rebecca and decides to search her room for clues on her whereabouts.
But what he finds leaves him shaken. Is it all finally over for Lachlan?
The twisted teen will appear to kill his aunt this week when she walks in on him attempting to bump off Robert and Liv.
In a dramatic trailer released by the ITV soap Rebecca is seen panicking upon discovering the unconscious bodies of Robert and Liv at the Mill.
But as she goes to call an ambulance, a stoney-faced Lachlan is seen grabbing her arms and taking her phone from her.
He’ll later be seen holding a bloodied spanner while his latest victim is in the boot of his car. Meanwhile Ross Barton is left worried when Rebecca goes off radar after they rekindle their romance.
This comes after murderous Lachlan – who deliberately caused a car crash earlier this year which killed his mum and granddad – seemingly killed off fake Terry last week.
He was seen driving to a funeral, where he glared with intent at a familiar face: the man who pretended to be Gerry’s uncle, ‘Terry’.
We then witnessed him speaking to girlfriend Belle, explaining that he was late home as something had taken him a little longer than expected.
Could that ‘something’ have been bludgeoning a man to death?
Lachlan told Belle there was nothing to worry about as he went in for a a hug… but there was a tell-tale splodge of blood on his sleeve.
Did you spot it? Some eagle-eyed viewers did… and shared their observations on Twitter.

“Uh oh killed again have you Lachlan,” another posted on the social media platform.
Oh, Emmerdale, you are such a tease! Does this mean that Lachlan has chalked up another notch on his deaths list? Or is it just a (blood) red herring?
One viewer posed the question we’re all wondering… who or what will make him stop now he has a taste for it?
