It’s been a devastating time for the Webster family, and a reminder of how quickly life can be changed forever.
With Kevin still trying to come to terms with his son’s sepsis and amputation, Jack is preparing to leave the hospital.

He and his little lad see a prosthetic specialist, who shows them blades that Jack could use.
It’s all too much for the young boy, who breaks down in tears, leaving Kevin heartbroken.
Meanwhile, Sophie is still feeling guilty about Jack ending up in hospital in the first place, as she was looking after him and didn’t appreciate how unwell he was.
She tries to be helpful with his departure from the hospital, but her dad is blocking her out.
Later in the week, Kev is struggling as he prepares to take Jack to the rehab centre in Liverpool, where he will start to learn how to live a new life as an amputee.
Michael Le Vell, who plays Kevin, has spoken of what a difficult bolt out of the blue this tragedy has been for his character.
“He didn’t know things could move this quickly from what he thought was just a little scratch, ” he said.
“Kevin had seen it and wasn’t concerned about it yet in a matter of days it was life threatening.
“Kevin doesn’t understand how a fit young lad can suddenly find himself in this position, it’s devastating.”

He’s full of praise for how well the young actor, Kyran Bowes, who plays Jack, has handled the story.
“He’s been fantastic, obviously he’s only 11 years old but he’s acted so professionally and dealt with it in a really mature fashion,” Michael added.
“He’s done a great job, Kyran met with a family who had been through this and it really brought it home to him.
“It’s a lot for an 11 year old to take on board but, after meeting Sasha, he knows how important it is to families who are going through this for real.”
