Scheming Kayla Clifton is on a mission to bring down Bethany Platt in Coronation Street next week when she finds out her dad, evil rapist Neil, has been attacked in prison.
As the week kicks off Bethany organises a double date between her and Ryan Connor and Kayla and her boyfriend Craig Tinker,
But when Kayla fails to show for the date, Craig heads off to find her and is left stunned when she finishes with him.
Meanwhile Kayla pays her dad a visit in hospital and is distraught to see how badly injured he is.
As Bethany pays Craig a visit to comfort him over being dumped, they’re surprised when Kayla comes round and tells Craig she’s made a huge mistake.
She tells him that she was wrong to dump him and pretty much begs him to take her back leaving Bethany dubious.
Kayla goes on to spin Craig a line, saying she was scared of the depth of her feelings for him.
Craig laps it up and agrees to take her back while Bethany is left hiding her upset at seeing them back together and gives them her blessing.
Later in the pub, Kayla inwardly seethes as news spreads that Neil has lost his appeal. She suggest to Craig that they go back to his flat where she tells him that she loves him.
But when he takes her for lunch in the Bistro later in the week, she steals his keys from his pocket. What’s she plotting now?
Corrie fans were left in shock when it was revealed that Speed Dahl waitress Kayla was rapist Neil’s daughter.
Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany, recently spoke out about how her character will handle finding out the truth about Craig’s ‘girlfriend’.
In an interview with TV Times magazine, Lucy Fallon has opened up about her character’s reaction to the news.
She tells the magazine: “She already knows there is something weird about Kayla.
“But she will not be expecting Kayla to be Neil’s daughter and I don’t think she is going to handle that very well because it is going to bring all the horrible memories that she has back.”
The actress, 22, also revealed the surprising news that she doesn’t want her character to be happy!
She added: “Everyone expects me to say that I want her to have happy storylines but I don’t, because the happy storylines aren’t as challenging to play.”
Bethany was groomed by salon owner Nathan Curtis, who then tricked her into being raped by the members of a paedophile ring – one of which was corrupt policeman Neil.
Neil is now serving time for abusing Bethany, and Kayla is acting as his ‘spy’ on the Street.
Kayla has been led to believe that her dad is a victim and was set up.
