Evil Richard Hillman is returning to Coronation Street to torment poor Gail Rodwell – sort of!
Killer Richard tried to wipe out Gail’s entire family by driving them into the canal. He also killed his ex wife, bludgeoned Maxine Peacock to death, and even convinced Audrey that she was suffering from Alzheimer’s – becoming one of Corrie’s most legendary villains.
And now he’s back!
Well, ish.
The trouble starts when Audrey meets a psychic in the salon, who convinces her she has a message from Audrey’s late husband, Alf.

Completely sure that the psychic, who’s called Rosemary, is delivering messages from the other side, Audrey persuades Gail to meet her, too.
But Gail is alarmed when Rosemary starts delivering messages from Gail’s many (many!) dead husbands.
As Michael, Joe, Brian – and killer Richard all start to talk to Gail, through Rosemary, it all starts to get a bit complicated.
But is Rosemary the real deal or a very clever fake?!
It’s been confirmed that Brian Capron, who played Richard, isn’t returning to the show, but Sophie Thompson – who played BenMitchell’s crazed stepmum, Stella, in EastEnders – is joining Corrie to play Rosemary.

“Sophie is a superb actress and perfect for the role of Rosemary,” said a show spokesperson.
“We are excited she is joining the cast and working alongside Helen and Sue. Gail and Audrey are convinced she is getting messages from Alf and Gail’s husbands. It remains to be seen if she is all she claims to be.”
