EastEnders will revisit one of the storylines from last year that had long-term viewers scratching their heads in bewilderment.
When Kim and Denise’s mother, Emerald, paid a fleeting visit to the Square back in February ’17 she dropped the bombshell that the women weren’t actually sisters after all.

She went on to explain that Kim’s uncle had brought Denise to her as a tiny baby that had been abandoned and raised her as her own.
Um. Huh? Said the entire nation.
The shocker has hardly been mentioned since but next week Kim decides the uncertainty is too much and decides she’s going to get a DNA test to find out once and for all if she and D are blood.
Kim confides in Patrick Trueman that she has bought a DNA testing kit to find out if their mum was telling them the truth.
Sneaky Kim ropes in Kush Kazemi to help her get a sample from Denise so she can secretly send the test off in the post without her sister (?) knowing.
But Kim forgets that Denise is no fool and, at her birthday bash, she soon clocks that her little sister (?) is up to something.
Denise coaxes the truth out of Kim, but how will she react?
Will she agree to the test or will she decide it doesn’t matter because they consider each other sister no matter what?
Or could the truth actually put a big wedge between them?

Either way it will be good to tie this storyline up once and for all.
